Basics: How Our Sense of Sight Relates to the True Beginning

Victorious Life Ministries Posted on 2019 October 18 by James A Capers2022 March 16

How we see what we see

What have you observed? What have you seen, heard, smelled, tasted, felt, or observed with any other sense? I suggested, at the end of the last lesson, that you seek evidence. That evidence is not only of the Creation but of its Beginning and also of the existence of G-d, the Creator. King David wrote:

The heavens declare the glory of God, the dome of the sky speaks the work of his hands. (Complete Jewish Bible, Psalm 19:2)

In my list of suggested activities, the first question I asked was: “How is it possible that you can see what you see?” The answer to that question is found in the first thing that G-d is recorded as saying in the first chapter of Genesis (B’resheet or “In the Beginning”) in the Hebrew and Christian Bibles:

Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and God divided the light from the darkness. (Genesis 1:3-4)

We see because G-d created light

It is important to understand what light is. Light is actually waves that travel through space, air (gases), and most liquids at specific frequencies. There are frequencies visible to human eyes, and there are frequencies not visible to human eyes. Some frequencies not visible to humans can be seen by birds, dogs, cats, and other creatures. For example, dogs and cats see two colors, but the colors are weak, like pastels. Birds see five to seven colors that humans see but better and with the addition of portions of ultraviolet light, which humans cannot see. Spiders see green and ultraviolet light. Insects such as bees see blue, yellow, and ultraviolet light. Fish see two colors. Snakes and other reptiles see some color and infrared frequencies, which humans also cannot see.

There are many waves that travel through the mediums of space, air, and liquids, but most of those waves are not received or “seen” by human eyes. We are able to “see,” because our Creator created “light,” which includes the visible spectrum that we humans can see. Without those specific frequencies of light, we would not be able to see.

We see because objects reflect specific frequencies of light

Light reflects off of objects. G-d created our eyes with the ability to receive those reflected frequencies we call light and translate them into electrochemical signals. He also created a portion of our brain to receive and “understand” those electrochemical signals from our eyes and retranslate them into images in our brain. We perceive those images as the “reality” of the physical Creation.

Yehoshua (“Jesus” for you Romanized Christians) said:

Yes indeed! I tell you that what we speak about, we know; and what we give evidence of, we have seen. (John 3:11)

Apostle Paul wrote to the Jews in Rome:

For ever since the creation of the universe his invisible qualities — both his eternal power and his divine nature — have been clearly seen, because they can be understood from what he has made. (Romans 1:20)

Whether it is fortunate or unfortunate, in many languages, humans tend to use some words for multiple concepts. It might be perceived this is due to laziness, which in some cases it might be. However, humans very intelligently have also seen similarities between different things. Sometimes, those similarities have not been actual but more imagined or perceived. Thus, a number of words have different meanings, based on what they are referring to. For example, Apostle John wrote about Yehoshua, the Only Begotten Son of G-d:

In him was life, and the life was the light of mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not suppressed it…. 9 This was the true light, which gives light to everyone entering the world. (John 1:4-5,9)

In the above verses, we see that “light” is a reference to enlightenment, insight, or revelation, which refer to understanding with the intellect. Yehoshua said to his talmidim (12 close students):

But you, how blessed are your eyes, because they see. . . (Matthew 13:16a)

It is interesting that both concepts of “light” are processed in our single brain, although in different areas within our brain. Most likely you’ve heard the expression, “Do you see what I’m saying?” Here, again, understanding mental perception is likened to visual perception or “seeing.”

Is this coincidence? I think not. Because G-d has tied everything together. Apostle Paul explained:

For ever since the creation of the universe his invisible qualities — both his eternal power and his divine nature — have been clearly seen, because they can be understood from what he has made. Therefore, they have no excuse. (Romans 1:20)

Basics: The Beginning

Victorious Life Ministries Posted on 2019 July 17 by James A Capers2022 March 16

What is your concept of how we all got here? Just how did we and all that we exist in get here? Everyone has an opinion, so there are multiple and numerous beginnings — in people’s minds. However, there can be only one True Beginning. We all need an answer to the question: How can we know what that True Beginning is?

Every human has a concept of their own beginning as well as the beginning of Earth, the beginning of our solar system, the beginning of our universe, and the beginning of Creation, itself. Are all of those human concepts the same? Do all of those concepts agree?

The answer to both questions is: No. Why no? Because every person has their own, individual mind, both conscious and unconscious (subconscious or below consciousness), with their own thoughts and memories of their individual experiences, education, training, and understandings. Thus, every individual perceives life and their own reality based on all that has molded them into what they are at any given moment. Are any of those individual perceptions the same as the True Beginning? Do any of those individual perceptions affect the True Beginning?

The answers to those last two questions are: Maybe and no. Maybe some individuals’ perceptions of the True Beginning are accurate, and no one’s perceptions can alter or have any effect on the True Beginning. Because our perceptions are only within our own minds. Then, how can we know what is the True Beginning?

That, my friend, is through unbiased research of and critical thinking about known facts. What are the known facts? They are available to your human senses of sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. Those facts are so numerous that no single human can number or list them all. Everything you can see, hear, touch, smell, or taste is an evidence of the True Beginning.

Your first assignment, then, is to look, listen, feel, smell, and taste as much as you can in your day and night. Think critically about what is involved in seeing, hearing, touching/feeling, smelling, and tasting.

Consider:

  • How is it possible that you can see what you see?
  • How can you hear what you hear?
  • How can you touch and feel what you touch and feel?
  • How can you smell what you smell?
  • How can you taste what you taste?
  • What and how much is involved in each of these activities?

If you have any questions or need an explanation of anything, above, please let me know in the Comments, below.

Introduction to Victorious Life Ministries

Victorious Life Ministries Posted on 2014 October 15 by James A Capers2022 December 14

As our name states, the purpose of this site is to assist G-d’s People in living a victorious life. Of course, this begs the question: What is a victorious life and who makes that determination? To answer this question, I refer you to the New Covenant book of the Revelation to John1:

“They defeated him because of the Lamb’s blood and because of the message of their witness. Even when facing death they did not cling to life” (Complete Jewish Bible, Rev. 12:11).

So, the victory is complete when we victoriously stand before the Throne of G-d, and He tells us:

“Excellent! You are a good and trustworthy servant. You have been faithful with a small amount, so I will put you in charge of a large amount. Come and join in your master’s happiness!” (Matt. 25:21).

With that established, I’ll get to the meat of this site. You are here, because you have questions, and the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) has brought you here. There are a multitude of questions that religion does not answer, and, yes, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are religions as much as Hinduism, Buddhism, and all such are. However, no acceptable teaching (doctrine or tenet) can be established on only one scripture or witness account, so all answers, here, will be substantiated or supported by a minimum of two scriptures and/or witness testimonies.

Here, again, we have issues to resolve. Can we believe ANY English “translations” of either the Hebrew or Christian Bible? Are you aware that each Bible “translation” into English MUST be in different English words from other Bible “translations?” This is required because, even though the original manuscripts are ancient and cannot be copyrighted, the English “translations” are not the original and they both can be and are copyrighted. Therefore, each new “translation” must not infringe on the copyrights of the other, existing “translations.”

So, why do I enclose the word “translation” with quotes? Because they are not true translations. They are interpretations! And what are those interpretations based on? They are based on the doctrines or teachings of the people who interpret them. So, do you want to learn the doctrines and interpretations of specific groups of men, or do you want to learn the Word of G-d from the earliest manuscripts that we can locate? This site is based on the latter: The earliest manuscripts and the most accurate meanings of the words written in them.

Questions I answer will include but are not limited to the following. As I get them completed, you will be able to hover your cursor over a question to expand it for a brief answer and a link to the corresponding article with the full answer to that question:

  • Who, what, and where is G-d?
G-d is the One and Only true deity.
He is the One Who created allThis is the word ‘all.’ It is a word that encompasses everything being considered. of the Creation.
For more about G-d, this will be a link to the
full article and you will Click Here.
  • Did G-d just speak everything into existence?
  • How long did it really take G-d to create the Creation (universe, Earth, etc.)?
  • What does it mean that G-d created “man” in His Image?
  • Who is Jesus, also called the Christ?
  • Who is the Messiah?
  • What is His Name?
  • What was and what is His Purpose?
  • What did He do and teach?
  • Who are we?
  • Why are we here?
  • What are we to do?
  • What is teshuvah?
  • Why is repentance necessary?
  • What is an ecclesia?
  • Are churches ecclesias?
  • What is the Kingdom of G-d or the Kingdom of Heaven?
  • What is the Ruach HaKodesh?
  • What is the Baptism of the Ruach HaKodesh, do I need it, and how do I get it?
  • What are the Gifts of the Ruach HaKodesh, and how do I get them?
  • What is the source of evil impulses?
  • Who and what is Satan / HaSatan?
  • What are demons?
  • What is deliverance?
  • What is spiritual warfare?
  • Who are the Sons of G-d?
  • Who or what are the Nephilim and where are they, now?

I will answer these questions and more as time permits. As I do, I will turn the above questions into links to those answers. For now, please study the available materials I have already posted. If you have other questions, please post them, below. All comments on this site must be civil, without profanity or ungodly content, and respectful of others. Any that are not will be removed.

May G-d bless you in your study and in your pursuit and fulfillment of your destiny,

James A Capers

Live Guilt Free … Forever!

Victorious Life Ministries Posted on 2014 October 9 by James A Capers2022 March 16

Seeking answers and solutions?

You will live forever. We all will. That means that this life is only the beginning, and the death of our earthly body is not the end. The question, then, is where will you live forever? (You can know, right now.)

The answer to that question is determined by you. Have you hurt people? Have you lied to people or stolen from them or gossiped about them? Have you violated G-d’s* Rules? Do you even know what G-d’s Rules are? Whether you know them or not, you can be forgiven. (You can be forgiven, right now.)

Almost everyone knows right from wrong behaviors, actions, and speech. Most humans have what is called a conscience and are given training by parents and educators—and sometimes by their local community and their peers—about proper ways to act and interact with others in society. Such training is often based on G-d’s instructions, and, as they are learned, they are written on people’s hearts. Even though such people may have never heard of G-d’s Instruction Manual—Moses’s Torah—they do what it requires because it is written into their hearts and minds. That is what G-d will base His Judgement of them on: Whether their behavior and actions have complied with what they know is right and wrong. That is what Apostle Paul wrote in the second chapter of his letter to believers in Rome: His letter we call “Romans.”

If a person violates G-d’s Rules, it is called “sin.” Sin simply means “to miss” or “go wrong” in the Hebrew language and to “miss the mark” in the Greek language. It means to miss G-d’s instructions or His requirements, which are sometimes called “Commandments.” (You can be forgiven, right now.)

If a person knows G-d’s Torah and His Rules, but violates them knowingly, G-d’s Lessons become more intense and more difficult. Try not to be one of those.

Click here to be forgiven and live with G-d!
