How to Receive Forgiveness and Eternal Life
There is a G-d*. He is our Creator and our Father. He gave us His Rules for our living. He also declared penalties for violating them. Those penalties require a payment, a sacrificial payment. No one was able to provide adequate payment, so He sent His Only, Begotten Son into the world to fulfill those requirements and make that payment for us. That son’s name in Hebrew is Yehoshua, and in English it’s Joshua. The anti-Semitic Romans created a sobriquet (nickname) for Him: Jesus.
To be forgiven of all your guilt and sin, and to live forever in Heaven with G-d and His Only Begotten Son, you must believe that G-d exists, that He gave us His Instructions, that He sent His Son, and that you need forgiveness. So, you must acknowledge that you know you have violated G-d’s Requirements and that His Only Begotten Son has paid your debt for you. Pray like this:
“Heavenly Father, I believe in You and Your Only Begotten Son, Yehoshua. I believe that Yehoshua died a cruel death to pay for my sins. I confess to You that I have sinned by violating Your Rules. I need a Savior, and I choose Your Son.
L-rd Yehoshua, I have sinned, which makes me a sinner. I need Your help. Will You cleanse me with Your Precious Blood, wipe out my sins forever, and forgive me? I accept You as my L-rd and my Savior. I give You my life. Will You come into my life and live in me and with me? Now, with Your help, I will obey G-d’s Commands and live a godly life. Thank you, L-rd Yehoshua, for saving me, giving me Your Eternal Life, and dwelling in me to help me live the life you have created me for! In Your Name I pray, Amen.”
